Exploring what it means to be human through being in nature and collectively philosophising on the experience.
Through a number of different activities, participants will be guided to experience and explore the meadows, finding new ways of thinking and being in it. This is a series of four workshops aimed at young people aged between 12 and 16 years. Participants can come to one, more, or all of the sessions. Tickets must be booked by parents/guardian.
The Wisdom Collective specialises in facilitating philosophical experiences that allow participants to grapple with topics on their own terms, improving their ability to listen to, and learn from, one another in the process.
Making the most of the covid restrictions, which allows under 18s to meet for educational purposes, we are keen to take the opportunity to combine philosophical enquiry with outdoor learning. This seems crucial for building needed connections with nature and also mitigates coronavirus risk. Social distancing will be observed.
In case of adverse weather conditions, or tighter restrictions, our sessions will move online. Regardless of whether sessions occur online, or outdoors, we will continue to focus on nature and the outside world.
